Hirakata City.
Browse the towering bookshelves of Hirakata T-SITE, then explore the streets toward historic Hirakata-juku and the Yodogawa riverside. This is a year-round city stop, separate from Hirakata Park and the seasonal Suito Kurawanka Fireworks. Use Hirakatashi Station for the town center; the amusement park has its own station.
The story behind this place
Hirakata was once a post town on the road linking Osaka and Kyoto, where travellers could rest during their journey. River transport also shaped its growth. The old Hirakata-juku streets preserve a different layer of history from the city’s modern shops.
