Hirakata Park.
Give Hirakata Park its own visit rather than treating it as part of the riverside fireworks venue. Check the calendar before taking the Keihan train from Osaka. Park admission, rides and seasonal attractions have different ticket conditions; this park is also a stop along the Osaka–Kyoto corridor.
The story behind this place
The park’s roots go back to chrysanthemum-doll exhibitions begun in 1912. Flowers were arranged to create elaborate figures, attracting visitors before the modern rides arrived. Its long relationship with seasonal displays is part of the history behind today’s amusement park.
