Shin-Osaka
Shinkansen arrivals & onward travel
A practical station district for arriving by Shinkansen or continuing to another city. Hotels here suit a transport-focused stay; the main shopping and evening dining districts are further south.
More about this area & booking tips
Station restaurants and souvenir shops make arrivals easy; some Eki Marche shops are inside the JR ticket gates. Away from the station, streets are more residential and office-oriented. Nishinakajima-Minamigata, one Metro stop south, offers another cluster of casual restaurants. Choose this base for rail convenience rather than expecting Minami-style nightlife outside every hotel.
Before booking: Choose your station exit carefully, especially with luggage. Osaka Station in Umeda and Shin-Osaka are different stations.
Approximate station-to-station times; transfers need good connections. Hotel walks and initial waits are extra.
