See Osaka from the water.
Board the Santa Maria sightseeing ship at Kaiyukan West Wharf for the daytime port cruise. The roughly 45-minute circuit gives a different perspective on Osaka’s waterfront, with harbour structures, ships and open water replacing the city streets. Enjoy the sea air from the deck when conditions allow. This is a round-trip sightseeing activity that returns to the Tempozan side. It does not take you to USJ: Captain Line is a different boat service for the crossing to Universal City Port. Allow time for boarding and the next departure, and confirm both operators’ schedules if combining them.
The story behind this place
The ship’s design recalls the Santa Maria associated with Columbus, built at roughly twice the scale of that historical ship. Its modern role is sightseeing in Osaka’s working port. The daytime cruise is a circuit that returns to the Tempozan side, while Captain Line serves a different purpose by carrying passengers across to Universal City Port.
