Nakanoshima Park & Rose Garden.
Pause near the rose-garden area and enjoy the water and bridges. Roses are seasonal, and lighting and access can change with events or maintenance.
The story behind this place
Nakanoshima means “island in the middle,” describing land between the Dojima and Tosabori rivers. The park opened in 1891 as Osaka’s first municipal park. Its setting shows how the city’s waterways also became places for public leisure.
