The story behind this place
DIAMOR OSAKA opened in October 1995. Its galleria and floor designs draw on Italian streetscapes, including the Galleria in Milan. The architecture is part of the shopping experience.
The operator describes mosaic details made using Milanese galleria techniques along Fashionable Street. Look down at the paving as well as up through the galleria space: the design gives a pedestrian connection the character of a small indoor city.
The circular plaza and named streets help distinguish this facility within Umeda’s much larger underground network. Use these architectural landmarks to orient a short shopping or café stop.
