Abeno Harukas: skyline & food halls.
Visit the HARUKAS 300 observation deck, then explore the basement food halls of Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store for sweets, prepared dishes and gifts. The observation deck and department store have separate hours. Use the official department-store directory for food-floor access; observation tickets do not include food purchases.
The story behind this place
Harukas comes from harukasu, an old Japanese word suggesting clearing or brightening the heart. The name was chosen to express the uplifting feeling of a wide view. It gives this modern skyscraper an unexpected connection with the language of older Japanese literature.
